Depository Park
Fredericton’s Odell Park sits in the heart of the city, encompassing 175 hectares of old growth Acadian Forest. Depository Park is a response to Odell Park, exploring both local archives and parks as sites of preservation. The exhibition comprises a collective depository of images, text, objects, and ephemera that speak to personal relationships to urban nature, while considering both archives and urban parks as sites of preservation. On view at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery from October 8 to December 16, 2018.
This group exhibition was collaboratively curated and grew from D’Arcy Wilson’s March 2018 workshop by the same name. Participating artists include Naomi Millier, Andrea Peters, Reuben Stewart, Christina Lovegrove Thomson & Oscar Tecu, Carla Weideman, Jennifer Wiebe, KC Wilcox, D’Arcy Wilson, and Janice Wright Cheney.
